Draft — pending legal review

This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before it takes effect. Text in highlighted brackets, such as [Business legal name — to be provided], marks details we have not filled in yet, and boxes labelled “Note for legal review” are questions for our reviewer. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the law where you live.

1.Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to the UniversalMC website, your website account, the Coin Store, and any other services we provide. Behaviour towards other people is covered by the Community Rules and the in-game Server Rules.

2.Security

You must not:

  • try to access accounts, data, admin pages, or systems you are not authorised to use;
  • probe, scan, or test our systems for vulnerabilities, except as described under “Reporting a security issue” below;
  • guess or brute-force link codes, or try to take over someone else’s session;
  • get around rate limits, security controls, or bans;
  • overload or disrupt the website or network, for example with denial-of-service attacks; or
  • upload or send malware or other harmful code.

3.Accounts

  • Only sign in with a Minecraft account you are allowed to use.
  • Do not use someone else’s link code, or share yours.
  • Do not buy, sell, or rent Minecraft accounts for use on UniversalMC.
  • Do not pretend to be another player or a member of staff.

4.Payments and Coins

  • Do not use a payment method you are not authorised to use.
  • Do not file a chargeback for a purchase you authorised and received, as a way to get Coins for free. If something is wrong with an order, contact Support first.
  • Do not exploit pricing, checkout, or delivery bugs. If you find one, report it, and do not use any Coins you get from it.
  • Do not sell or buy Coins, ranks, in-game items, or accounts for real money, or anything else of real-world value, outside our Coin Store.

5.Bots, scraping, and voting

  • Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated tools in ways that put load on the website or get around its limits.
  • Vote rewards come only from votes that server-list websites confirm to us. Do not use bots, multiple accounts, or other tricks to vote. Those websites have their own rules, which you must follow.

6.What you send us

Do not use support tickets or other forms to send illegal content, content that infringes someone else’s rights, harassment, or spam.

7.Reporting a security issue

If you find a security problem, please tell us through Support or at [Support email address — to be provided]. To help us fix it safely:

  • do not access, change, or delete other people’s data;
  • do not disrupt the website or network for others;
  • give us a reasonable amount of time to fix it before telling anyone else; and
  • include enough detail for us to reproduce the problem.

8.What happens if you break this policy

We may remove content, cancel affected orders, suspend or end your access to the website or network, and, where appropriate, report the matter to Stripe, other affected services, or the authorities. See “Moderation, suspension, and ending your access” in the Terms of Service.
