Draft — pending legal review

This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before it takes effect. Text in highlighted brackets, such as [Business legal name — to be provided], marks details we have not filled in yet, and boxes labelled “Note for legal review” are questions for our reviewer. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the law where you live.

1.Summary

This website only sets strictly necessary cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies or scripts.

2.What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages or visits, such as whether you are signed in.

3.Cookies we use

Cookies set by this website
NamePurposeCategoryDuration
umc_sessionKeeps you signed in after you enter an in-game /link code. It holds a random token; our database stores only a hash of it.First-party. HttpOnly (page scripts cannot read it), Secure on HTTPS, SameSite=Lax.Strictly necessary30 days, or until you sign out
umc_consentRemembers your cookie choice: whether optional analytics are allowed, the policy version, and a random ID.First-party. Set by this website’s own script, Secure on HTTPS, SameSite=Lax.Strictly necessary180 days

Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the website to work as you ask it to, so they do not require your consent in most places. The sign-in cookie is only set once you sign in.

When you save a cookie choice, your browser sends us the random ID from the umc_consent cookie, your choice, and the policy version (currently 2026-11-draft). We store these with the time, so we can show what you chose. We do not store your IP address or Minecraft account with this record. When this policy changes in a way that matters, its version changes and we ask for your choice again.

5.The “Analytics” option

Our cookie settings include an “Analytics” category. Nothing on the website uses it today, and it is off unless you turn it on. It exists so that if we ever add analytics, they stay off until you agree. Before adding any analytics, we would update this policy, describe the tools, and ask for your choice again.

6.Other websites

  • Stripe Checkout. When you pay, you leave our website for Stripe’s checkout page, where Stripe may set its own cookies, for example for fraud prevention. See Stripe’s cookie information (opens in a new tab).
  • Discord and voting sites. Links to Discord and to server-list voting websites take you to those services, which have their own cookie policies.
  • Fonts. Our fonts are served from our own website, so loading a page does not contact a font provider.

7.Changing your choices

You can change your cookie choice at any time:

The same “Cookie settings” link is in the footer of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to stay signed in.

Because we do not use cookies for tracking, browser signals such as Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track do not change anything on our website today.
